Repair Status Mapping lets you define how your DMS's repair order (RO) and operation statuses align to Isuzu Connect's repair statuses. This mapping is the foundation DMS status integration relies on. Once configured, Case knows how to interpret incoming DMS statuses when synchronization is enabled (synchronization isn't turned on automatically once mapping is done).
Mapping is configured separately for case-level and operation-level statuses, and changes apply only going forward; they never affect existing records.

Accessing Repair Status Mapping
- Go to Administrative Tools > Customize Your Database.
- Under Case Management, select Repair Status Mapping.
- Choose the Case/RO Status Mapping or Operation Status Mapping tab.
NOTE: One or more DMS statuses can map to a single Case Repair Status. Each DMS status can only map to one Isuzu Connect status. Neither side is required to have a mapping, and DMS status codes must be unique.
Adding DMS Statuses
- In the DMS Status List (labeled Operations Status List on the Operation Status Mapping tab), select + Add DMS Status.
- Enter a Status Code: the unique code your DMS uses to identify the status (numeric or alphanumeric, e.g., 001, RO_OPEN).
- Optionally, enter a DMS Status Label (DMS Operation Label on the Operation tab) — the name your DMS shows for this status (e.g., "Repair Open"). Leave it blank if your DMS doesn't use labels.
- Select Add.
NOTE: Status codes must be unique. If you enter a code that's already in use, you'll see "This code is already in use" and won't be able to save until you change it.
Mapping Statuses and Setting a Primary
In the Status Alignment section, each Isuzu Connect repair status has a dropdown where you can select one or more DMS statuses to map to it. Statuses are grouped by category to make them easier to find — Arrival, Diagnosis, Approval, Repair, Ready, and Other on the Case/RO tab; Not Started, Diagnosing, Repair, Complete, and Hold on the Operation tab.
When more than one DMS status is mapped to the same Isuzu Connect status, use the pin icon to choose which one is Primary. The primary status is the value that will be used if your DMS integration syncs status back outbound, since only one value can be sent per RO. (Outbound sync itself is part of DMS Integration, not this configuration step.) The first DMS status you map becomes primary by default. When more than one DMS status is mapped to the same Isuzu status, an inline message appears explaining how inbound and outbound behavior works for that group; it stays visible as long as multiple statuses are mapped and disappears once you're back down to one.
Editing or Removing a DMS Status
- To edit a status, select the pencil icon, make your changes, and select the checkmark to apply or the X to cancel.
- To remove a status, select the trash icon. What happens next depends on how it's used:
- Unused: You'll get a simple confirmation before it's removed.
- Mapped, not primary: You'll see a confirmation noting which Isuzu status it's mapped to. Removing it only affects Isuzu and won't touch your DMS.
- Mapped and primary: You'll need to choose a new primary from the remaining mapped statuses before you can remove it.
Importing and Exporting a Status Map
Use Export Status Map to download your current mapping as a CSV (available once you have at least one saved mapping). Use Import Status Map to upload a CSV and set up mappings in bulk, useful for large mappings or reusing a file from another location. The import button and modal are named for the tab you're on: Import Case/RO Status Map or Import Operation Status Map.
- Select Import Status Map.
- Select Download CSV Template if you need a blank file to fill in.
-
Choose your CSV file.
- If there are issues with your file, the import won’t proceed. Isuzu Connect lists every issue inline, organized by tab (for example, duplicate status codes or labels, a missing identifier, or an unrecognized status), so you can fix them and re-upload. No partial updates are applied; either the whole file imports or none of it does.
- Select Import Status Map to load the file.
NOTE: Importing a file replaces all current DMS status codes and mappings for that tab. This can't be undone, so review your file carefully first.
Imported mappings appear on the page right away, but they aren't saved until you select Save Changes. Select Cancel at any point to revert to your last saved state.
Note that adding, editing, or mapping statuses are held as a draft until you select Save Changes. If you try to navigate away with unsaved changes, you'll be prompted to confirm before leaving.
